Developing careers with Personal Group

Nathan says…
My journey started in our Customer Relations Team, after a year in this role I applied for a Team Leader role that opened up within my team. While I was unsuccessful in my application, the feedback that was given to me really gave me the drive to help me shape my career for the future.
Not long after, another opportunity came up in the Customer Loyalty Team that really interested me. I decided to apply for the role and was really thrilled when my application was successful. This role gave me the opportunity to really build more skills and knowledge in the business. It was great to get support in my new role from the management team who encouraged me to build my skills and develop into a Team Leader. Part of this was to get involved with helping the existing Team Leaders on projects, as well as be a stand-in when they were off or on annual leave.
Following another year in this role, another Team Leader position became available and all of the hands-on skills I acquired over the previous year paid off. I was offered the role! I have now been a Team Leader for a few months, and I have really settled in, the management team has been very supportive, and I have had a smooth transition between roles and the rest of the team has been very encouraging with my promotion.
I’ve recommended Personal Group as a fantastic place to work for so many friends and family. This is a company where you can grow your career and be 100% supported while you do it.

Personal Group have
provided me with a fantastic opportunity to enhance my learning and development
within Project Management. After many years of working in Talent/HR I was
fortunate enough to have a career change and focus on Programme & Project
Management. Personal Group have supported that transition by facilitating and
offering me the APM PMQ Level 4 Associate Project Management Programme. I have
already done several courses including my APM Fundamentals, so this course
aligned brilliantly with continuing with my studies.
The great thing about the apprenticeship is that it is built as a blended course which suits my style of learning as well as being able to apply to the current day to day projects I work on. It has a good mix of self-study, videos, workshops, and study groups to really get under the modules. It also brings course members together, creating a network of likeminded individuals to further support with learning. The course allows me 6 hours per week of “off the job study” which makes juggling a full-time role whilst studying, manageable, relevant, and enjoyable!
